Creamy Basil Pesto Tuna Bacon Pasta Recipe

Ingredients

  • 180g Basil Pesto 
  • 1 can (200g) of tuna in water, strained
  • bacon, cut into 1 cm slices
  • 1 - 2 sundried tomatoes, chopped
  • pasta

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the box.
  2. In a cast iron skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until golden, and then remove the bacon to a plate.
  3. In a pot over medium heat, add the pesto, stir in the tuna, sundried tomatoes, and bacon (save a little for topping), and bring to a simmer stirring sporadically making sure the sauce is well combined. 
  4. Stir in the pasta and make sure all pasta are coated with the sauce, adjusting the thickness with pasta water until the desired consistency.
  5. Serve topped with additional bacon and grated parmesan.
