Moussaka
Ingredients
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 500 g ground beef or lamb
- 500 g crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 milliliter pepper
- 2 eggplants
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 dl mild natural yogurt
- 3 eggs
- 150 g feta cheese

Instructions
- Chop and cook the garlic pieces in olive oil.
- Add the ground beef and brown it on medium heat.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, the tomato paste, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Set the oven on 225°C / 437°F
- Wash the eggplants and cut in 1 cm pieces. Put the pieces of eggplant on a paper towel, add salt and let rest for 15 minutes.
- Fry the eggplant pieces for 2 minutes on each side in olive oil.
- Layer the eggplants and the ground beef in an oven-safe form.
- Whisk together yogurt, eggs, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into the form and crumble the feta cheese on top.
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
Serve with a salad.
