Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken fillet 
  • 2 carlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric 
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • butter or ghee
  • 1 dl cream 
  • 2 dl yogurt 10%
  • 200 g frozen mango 
  • fresh coriander for garnishing
  • rice

Equipment

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to the instructions on the package.
  2. Cut the chicken into 2 - 3 cm pieces.
  3. Peel and mince the garlic. Saute garlic, tomato puree and spices in butter or ghee in a balti casserole, dutch oven or a cast iron skillet.
  4. Season the chicken and let it brown with the spices for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Stir in the cream and yogurt, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in the mango and let it simmer for another 2 - 3 minutes.
  7. Serve with the rice and garnish with coriander.
