Smashed Burger Recipe

Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Onion
  • Iceberg lettuce
  • Pickles
  • Hamburger Buns
  • Hamburger sauce
  • Tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Form the ground beef into a 2" balls.
  2. In a pre-heated 12" Cast Iron Frying Pan add the ground beef and press it out in the pan using a spatula or a meat press.
  3. After 1 - 2 minutes, lower the heat to medium-low, flip the burger, add cheddar cheese, and cover with a lid until the cheese has melted, about 1 minute.
  4. Remove from the heat.
  5. Serve with lettuce, finely chopped onion, hamburger sauce, pickles, chopped tomatoes and optionally some French fries.
