Puerto Rican Picadillo Empanadas

Ingredients
- 1 pound/450 grams ground beef
- 1/2 cup (4 ounces) canned tomato sauce
- 2 heaping tbsp Puerto Rican Sofrito
- 2 tbsp Spanish olives, chopped
- 1 tsp adobo
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper

Instructions
- In a large frying pan or Dutch oven, brown ground beef over medium heat. Stir in sofrito and cook for a few minutes.
- Stir in tomato sauce and some water, olives, adobo, oregano and garlic powder. Season generously to taste with salt and pepper.
- Lower the heat to low and reduce until most of the water has evaporated.
