I got very excited when I received this pan. I've been wanting a proper steel pan that I can season over time and use again and again without worry about non-stick surface or unnecessary due care to maintain it. 3 months on it has now seasoned nicely and cooks like a dream. Really even heat distribution. Fantastic searing and honestly fairly easy to clean as well. Just pour some boiling water into the pan. Let it simmer for a little bit. Scrape the bits off dry with a paper cloth or microfiber cloth light coating of oil ( assuming that you have well seasoned the pan previously) and Bob's your uncle. If you do not know how to season your pan, make sure you follow some videos on YouTube or ask a professional chef. Once you do this, it will not let you down. Even if you cook tomato sources and that's and it removes some of the seasoning, it is so easy to bring back up to where it needs to be with a little bit of preparation. I can see this pan lasting me many many years. It has already taken a lot of abuse and although quite heavy, it is a pleasure to use.

This pan is amazing. It’s heavy and sturdy, so it won’t warp, but not as heavy as a comparably sized cast iron pan I own. The long handle makes it mildly challenging to store but I appreciate it when I need to lift the pan. Love the silicon handle cover as well. It heats evenly and takes seasoning very well. I used the oven method at first with flax oil (thin coat of oil all over and into the oven at 450 for 30 minutes), then started using it. I found it was seasoned well enough for some things, but it took one more oven session to be perfect. Now the seasoning seems almost indestructible. Priced way lower than the big brands, and I can’t see how they would be superior in any functional way. Excellent value.
