This pan is awesome BUT do not buy unless you are prepared to properly season it. I thought i could just use it and it would season on its own. So much rust. In the writing and on the handle was the hardest part to clean (with steel wool). I have cast iron pans and just use a lot of olive oil and clean them pretty dry and it’s fine but i didn’t think about oiling the lid. I made a loaf of bread and when it was done i thought hey, this is a perfect container for my bread while we’re at it. When i opened it up later the same day my bread was coated in spots of wet rust and the lid had red spots all over. I KNOW THIS IS USER ERROR and i know a drop of research would’ve prevented this but in case anyone else wants to but this willy nilly - seasoning is easy but you need to actually do it BEFORE USE. And season the outside too!!

I love my Crucible Cookware Cast Iron Bread Pan. It makes a nice big, perfect loaf of evenly sliceable bread. I love it so much, I bought a second one for my daughter who recently took up bread making.

We gave this to our son and his wife as a gift request. They made their own bread in round cast iron casseroles but wanted a more traditional bread form. They LOVE this one! Good size and provides a fantastic even bake. We can attest that the results are delicious!

I seasoned the pan and made my first gluten free sourdough loaf. It came out perfect! I highly recommend this pan!
